SAP Capability Lead Field Based Salary Range £70000-£80,000 per annum, car/car allowance, plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme About the Role As the SAP Capability Lead, you will take ownership of the direct line management, enablement, and daily delivery excellence of our functional consulting team. You will be instrumental in ensuring our consultants apply best-practice SAP solutions across active projects, acting as an operationally focused leader who mentors our team and drives strategic alignment. As part of your key responsibilities you’ll: Directly oversee the functional consulting group (covering Finance, Supply Chain, etc.), facilitating professional development, appraisals, and continuous upskilling. Drive presales efforts by orchestrating functional assets to build and present standard SAP Public and Private Cloud demonstrations. Mandate the consistent use of SAP Activate frameworks, including templates and Cloud ALM, across all functional streams. Govern daily business process design, ensuring team members effectively leverage tools such as SAP Signavio and WalkMe. Collaborate with the Head of SAP Capability to audit functional specifications and configuration setups, ensuring alignment with architectural benchmarks. Conduct high-level functional design sessions and tailored training for client-side project resources. About You We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role! Essential Extensive SAP consulting experience, with a proven track record of leading functional teams or a solution architecture practice. A strong working knowledge and practical application of the SAP Activate Methodology (relevant certifications preferred). A proven track record of successful end-to-end SAP implementations as a Functional Lead or Senior Consultant. Hands-on experience with process modeling platforms like SAP Signavio and digital adoption platforms like WalkMe - Preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical configuration and business requirements.
